Step-by-Step Guide to Cleaning a Cuisinart Coffee Maker
Below is a complete step-by-step guide to cleaning your Cuisinart coffee maker.
Cleaning a Cuisinart Single Serve Brewer
Here are the steps to clean your Cuisinart Single Serve Brewer.
- Start with the nozzle. Remove any calcification that has built-up inside the nozzle from where the coffee is poured.
You can remove this calcification by pouring four cups of diluted white vinegar into the coffee maker. Then, brew it on an empty filler.
Calcium build-up can scale over time and can contaminate your coffee or hinder the transference of coffee from the nozzle to the decanter. By keeping it clean, you can achieve an even flow of coffee to your decanter or cup.
- Let the vinegar sit for about 30 minutes. Once the 30 minutes is up, empty the coffee maker and rinse the decanter with clean water. Repeat this a couple of times with clean water.
- Don’t forget to clean the exterior! Gently scrub your coffee maker’s exterior using a wet, soapy sponge and a damp cloth. Then, wipe it dry. Regularly cleaning your machine’s exterior can help keep it neat and durable.
- Rinse your decanter after every use with soapy water. This can help keep the decanter clean and help it last longer.
